Before you give your dog a bath! Also, before you pour tomato juice on them, or any other home remedies you’ve heard about. As quickly as possible mix together:
4 cups of hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup of baking soda
1 teaspoon of liquid soap or dishwashing soap
Mix your 4 cups of hydrogen peroxide in a bowl or bucket with 1/4 cup of baking soda. This will start bubbling and add 1 teaspoon of liquid soap or dishwashing soap. Wet the dog thoroughly with the mixture, sponging carefully around the face. Most dogs' faces will be badly skunked, so you really want to wet the face, but don't get it in their eyes or nose, because it stings.
After the dog is thoroughly wet with the mixture and every trace of the scent is gone then rinse the dog with water and give them a bath with shampoo and conditioner. Give them lots of praise and tell them they are beautiful!
